Legal Aid

We offer an initial free consultation for assessment of prospective Legal Aid clients. A full assessment at that consultation will determine a prospective client's eligibility for Legal Aid or Legal Advice and Assistance which is means tested and funded by the Scottish Legal Aid Board subject to the relevant Legal Aid Regulations. If eligibility for Legal Aid is possible the client will be asked to provide necessary documentation for proof of capital, income and outgoings.

Private Clients

We charge an hourly rate which depends on the nature of the subject matter, the level of gravity and complexity required and the expertise of the lawyer engaged. Ward & Co may also choose to act "pro bono" (either partly or entirely free of charge) in appropriate circumstances. Please contact us directly for more information on fees and payment options. Any proposed private fee will be the subject of discussion and agreement prior to any work being undertaken.
